In response to the population growth in Haute-Garonne, the Departmental Council is strengthening its local services and support for municipalities and intercommunalities. To best adapt its actions, the community is organizing a citizen consultation, including 16 dialogue meetings across the department.
One of these meetings will be held in Longages on November 13th at 6:30 PM in the Council Hall. Interested residents can register via the link: www.haute-garonne.fr.
In a letter, Sébastien Vincini, President of the Departmental Council, explains the initiative: 'With my team, I wanted to launch a major listening and dialogue process starting in November 2026, to meet, listen to, and exchange with all the inhabitants of the Haute-Garonne territory: Living well in Haute-Garonne: Let's talk about it!' He emphasizes the need to co-construct public policies with residents and local stakeholders.
This series of 16 meetings will take place from November 10th to December 16th. Each meeting will be attended by the president, a departmental elected official, and local elected officials. A restitution event is planned for the end of February 2027 to draw conclusions from these exchanges.
Participants are free to discuss any topics they deem important for the future of Haute-Garonne, particularly concerning access to local services. A film, based on an audiovisual study conducted in October 2026 with a panel of residents, will introduce the debates, followed by in-depth workshops.
