As part of the fourth year of implementation of the national program "Better Eating For All", the DREETS Occitanie launched a new call for projects last June. The objective was to support initiatives facilitating access for people in precarious situations to healthy and sustainable food, while transforming the organization of food solidarity.
In total, 115 projects were submitted, representing a funding request of nearly 6.7 million euros. Following the review of the applications by the relevant services (DDETS-PP, DRAAF DREETS, in conjunction with the ARS and the Regional Council) and the selection committee on October 13, 69 projects were chosen.
These selected projects will benefit from an allocation of over 3.8 million euros, spread over two programming years (2026-2027). Particular attention was paid to the structuring, unifying, transformative, and empowering potential of the proposed actions, as well as to the geographical distribution of the initiatives to ensure coverage of urban and rural areas across all departments of the region.
Project leaders will be individually notified of the results by mid-November.
