Jean-Luc Moudenc, Mayor of Toulouse and President of Toulouse Métropole, will lay the first stone of the future Dance City on Friday, October 2nd at 4:30 PM, at Place André Abbal. He will be accompanied by Nicole Yardeni, Deputy Mayor in charge of Culture and Performing Arts, Valérie Jacquet-Violleau, Deputy Mayor in charge of Artistic and Cultural Education, Gaëtan Cognard, Mayor of the district, and Florian Delrieu, Municipal Councilor delegated to City Policy and Urban Renewal.
Located in the heart of the Reynerie district, this new cultural facility is dedicated to the creation, practice, and dissemination of dance. It aims to support the urban transformation of the neighborhood and enhance the cultural influence of Toulouse.
This project, with a total cost of €22 million including tax, is the result of a broad partnership. It is financed by the City of Toulouse with contributions from the European Union - FEDER (€1 million), the National Agency for Urban Renovation (€1.875 million), the Occitanie Region (€1.5 million), and the Department of Haute-Garonne (€1 million).
