The Hauts Tolosans Community of Communes is setting up two biowaste collection points in Merville, on an experimental basis until the end of 2026, to encourage composting.

Biowaste, such as peels and meal scraps, accounts for 30% of household waste. To value it through composting rather than incineration or landfill, the Hauts Tolosans Community of Communes offers free individual composters.
To accommodate all types of housing, two biowaste collection points will be installed experimentally until the end of 2026. The first will be located next to the boulodrome on Place de l'Eglise and the second on Rue du Pic du Midi.
Residents are invited to come and ask their questions and collect their free bio-seau at the market on Wednesdays, November 4th and 25th, between 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM.
For those who cannot attend, it is possible to reserve a bio-seau online and download the practical guide to good practices.
