In partnership with Pecha’bouge, the Péchabou media library is mobilizing for Pink October, the breast cancer awareness month, through readings, a decorated display, and fundraising.

For this first edition of Pecha’bouge for Pink October, the municipality aimed to unite its stakeholders around the message: women's health concerns us all. The media library readily participated.
Throughout the month, the media library team offered a selection of books on breast cancer, including testimonials, information on prevention and screening, and accounts of treatment and reconstruction journeys. This selection was also presented on Sunday, October 4th, during a festive afternoon at the Merlet Park and the community center, where the media library had its own dedicated space.
The media library's display window and reception desk were decorated in pink for the occasion, reminding visitors of the importance of screening and solidarity with those affected by the disease.
Donation boxes are available until the end of October. Online donations can also be made to the Toulouse Oncopole.
The municipality warmly thanks the media library team and its partners for their commitment to this strong first edition of solidarity.
