Faced with the omnipresence of screens, the municipality of Saint-Orens-de-Gameville is inviting parents to educational meetings in schools, from October 8 to November 5, 2026. These sessions aim to foster dialogue, share experiences, and provide tools to support children in the digital world.
These awareness-raising events, focused on digital practices and the well-being of the youngest, will help to better understand current usage, identify potential warning signs, and discover practical resources. The goal is to act collectively for a healthier digital environment.
The meetings will feature participatory formats, without lectures. The program includes discussions on the role of screens in children's lives, prevention and response to harassment and cyberbullying. A fun workshop called 'Puzzle du lien' (Link Puzzle), designed with Ateliers Émoi, will also be offered, along with an exhibition of children's creations, a toy library, and DIY workshops with the Espace de Vie Sociale de Catala. Parent associations will also be present to continue the discussions.
The meetings will take place as follows: l’École élémentaire de l’Orée du Bois on Thursday, October 8 (4:30 PM - 6:30 PM), l’École élémentaire du Corail on Thursday, November 5 (4:30 PM - 6:30 PM), and l’École élémentaire Catala on Friday, November 6 (4:30 PM - 6:30 PM). An exhibition of the 'Puzzle du lien' will be held at l’École élémentaire Henri-Puis on Wednesday, December 2 (12:10 PM - 12:30 PM).
In parallel, on Thursday, November 5, 2026, a session dedicated to combating school bullying will be held at Villa Massot at 6:30 PM. This event, coinciding with the National Day Against School Bullying, will present the PHARE program and continue discussions on prevention.
Parents' participation is encouraged, as their questions and experiences are essential for enriching discussions and providing tools to better support children daily.
