Facing flood risk, SMIVAL offers residents of Vernet personalized and free assistance to protect their homes.

The Syndicat Mixte Interdépartemental de la Vallée de la Lèze (SMIVAL) provides a free home assessment service for residents exposed to flood risk. An SMIVAL agent will visit your home to evaluate its vulnerability to flooding, identify appropriate solutions to minimize damage, and advise on necessary protective works.
Following the assessment, protective measures may be recommended. In such cases, financial aid covering up to 80% of the cost is available, subject to current eligibility criteria. This initiative aims to protect your family and property, reduce damage during floods, and provide technical and financial support.
To determine if your home is at risk, you can consult your commune's Flood Risk Prevention Plan (PPRI) or the Géorisques website.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact Floriane COUTY at SMIVAL by phone at 06 84 60 63 41, by email at diag@smival.fr, or visit the website www.smival.fr. It is advisable to act proactively to better protect your home.
