Underway since 2025, the revision of the Territorial Coherence Scheme (SCoT) for Pays du Val d’Adour continues. This strategic document is set to define the major planning and development guidelines for the territory in the years ahead, covering diverse areas such as housing, economy, commerce, environment, water, and agriculture.
The SCoT serves as a tool for collective planning, aiming to shape the territory's future. It addresses crucial questions regarding housing development, strengthening local towns and businesses, supporting economic activity, while simultaneously preserving agricultural lands, landscapes, biodiversity, and water resources.
Led by Pays du Val d’Adour, this SCoT revision directly involves the 72 municipalities that form the Adour Madiran Community of Communes.
Following a seminar held last June, the SCoT revision process is entering its final stages. The Strategic Development Project will be completed by the end of 2026, followed by the elaboration of the Objectives and Orientations Document in early 2027. Final approval of the SCoT is scheduled for the end of 2027.
Public consultation remains open throughout this revision process. Residents, associations, and all territorial stakeholders are encouraged to submit their observations and proposals. Consultation registers are available within the intercommunalities.
