The city of Agde vibrated on the past October 17th and 18th to the rhythm of its ancestral traditions during the Festival of New Wine and Traditional Costume, an event that brought together residents and visitors.

For two days, Agde highlighted its heritage through various activities. On Saturday, the Promenade hosted a flea market and a local produce fair. The evening continued at the Moulin des Évêques with a pairing event of wines, local products, and music.
Sunday was dedicated to traditional costumes and the celebration of new wine. A parade, starting from the Agathois Museum, featured the Belles Agathoises, local brotherhoods, and folk groups, in the presence of the Mayor, Aurélien Lopez-Liguori, and municipal elected officials. Groups from Arles-sur-Tech, Vias, and Mauguio joined local associations such as l’Escolo dai Sarret and the Confrérie du Saint-Christ.
The procession moved through the historic center, with several stops dedicated to traditional dances. A solemn mass, accompanied by traditional chants, was celebrated by Father Frédéric Forel in the Saint-Étienne cathedral, attended by numerous faithful.
The festivities concluded on the town hall square of Cœur de Ville, with more folk dances and tastings of New Wine and local products. This festival, over 90 years old, remains a popular event, allowing Agde residents to reconnect with their heritage and share it with visitors and new generations.
