This Thursday, October 29th, 426 bottles of the Vinocap 2025 vintage were retrieved from the Mediterranean Sea in Cap d’Agde after nearly 10 months of underwater aging, an event organized by the Route des Vignerons et des Pêcheurs.

Excitement filled the air on the quays of the Vieux-Port of Cap d’Agde this Thursday morning. The association “La Route des Vignerons et des Pêcheurs” (The Route of Winegrowers and Fishermen), in partnership with the City of Agde, the Cap d’Agde Méditerranée Tourist Office, and the Hérault Méditerranée Agglomeration Community, orchestrated the retrieval of the Vinocap 2025 vintage. The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Agde, Aurélien Lopez Liguori, accompanied by Gwendoline Chaudoir, President of the Hérault Méditerranée Agglomeration Community, Hugo Alvarez, Director of the Cap d’Agde Méditerranée Tourist Office, and Pierre Quinonéro, President of the “La Route des vignerons et des pêcheurs” association, along with numerous elected officials and partners.
These 426 bottles, which had been patiently waiting in their oyster pouches since December 2025, have now seen the light of day. This multi-month underwater aging process is a unique characteristic of this vintage.
This initiative also carries a charitable dimension. The profits from the sales of the Vinocap 2025 vintage, which will take place on November 10th during the event “La Table d’Elixir”, will be entirely donated to charitable causes.
