The Glass Biennale invites the public to discover the diversity of contemporary glass creation. Around this ancient material, 19 glass artists from France and beyond are exhibiting their works. They will explore various techniques such as blowing, spinning, fusing, thermoforming, stained glass, sculpture, and sandblasting, offering an exploration of multiple artistic universes.
Among the exhibitors are studios such as Yoann Agostinho, Atelier Alain et Marisa Bégou, Atelier Martine Bruggeman, Le Verre au Plus Proche de Votre Nature, Atelier Ô fil du temps, Atelier Verrierie de Gramat, Aux arts verriers, Atelier Mon endroit en verre, Atelier Amadéo, Atelier Verre et Vitrail, Katztudio, Atelier Giovni, Atelier Mallemouche, Léa Nadaud, Atelier Fileur de verre, Atelier Léia Pouthier, Atelier La Flamme de Lili, Atelier Pauline Roques, and Atelier Yves Trucchi.
The guests of honor for this 2026 edition are Marisa and Alain Bégou. This couple, united in life and at the workshop, presents a unique work that merges art and nature. Their creations, the result of over 4 decades of work, demonstrate a perfect mastery of ancestral glassblowing techniques while affirming a free and personal expression. Their unique pieces combine harmony, lyricism, void, and fullness, inviting contemplation.
Live demonstrations will allow the public to see glass take shape. On the program: glass spinning with Guillaume Domise, glass blowing with Angéline Dissoubray, and a stained glass workshop with Clotilde Gontel and Aurélie Dupin, open to ages 7 and up, where everyone can participate in creating a stained glass piece.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 3rd from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday, October 4th from 10 am to 6 pm, at the Salle polyvalente, located at avenue du Nouveau Monde, in Claret (34270). Admission is free, as are the demonstrations and workshops. Food trucks and restaurants will be on-site, and free parking will be available. The venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility. The event is organized by the Communauté de communes du Grand Pic Saint-Loup, in partnership with the mairie de Claret.
