As part of Taste Week, the Info Jeunes of the Sud-Hérault Community of Communes is organizing a prevention campaign on the dangers of energy drinks for 4th-grade students from several middle schools in the department.

From October 12 to 18, 2026, as part of Taste Week, the Info Jeunes point of the Sud-Hérault Community of Communes is conducting a prevention action for 4th-grade students. This initiative involves students from LEAP Les Buissonnets as well as those from the middle schools of Capestang, Cessenon-sur-Orb, Quarante, and Saint-Chinian.
Guided by Laurine Fresquet, a Dietitian-Nutritionist, and Elisa, a youth information officer, students from 14 classes were made aware of the risks associated with consuming energy drinks. Topics covered include the excess of additives, high sugar and caffeine content, and their harmful effects on health and concentration.
The program aimed to develop critical thinking regarding advertising influence, encourage reflection on consumption habits, inform about dangers, and share testimonials from young people who have experienced the consequences of overconsumption. These rich exchanges and varied workshops fostered student involvement.
This action aligns with Sud-Hérault's commitment to guiding young people towards a more balanced and responsible diet. For more information, contact 06 81 05 64 08 or email infojeunes@cc-sud-herault.fr.
