Residents and visitors are invited to two days of festivities on October 10-11, 2026. The aim is to celebrate the renewal of the Grand Site de France label, a distinction recognizing collective commitment to preserving landscapes and heritage while fostering respectful local development.
Under the banner "Label en fête," these days will offer an immersion into the natural and cultural riches of the territory. The program includes guided tours, themed walks, various activities, exhibitions, and meetings with local stakeholders working to protect this remarkable area.
The Grand Site de France label distinguishes exceptional territories for their landscape quality and visitor numbers, provided they are committed to sustainable management. It highlights the capacity of local actors to balance site preservation, public reception, and economic development.
The label's renewal for the Gorges de l’Hérault attests to the collaborative work undertaken to conserve the region's natural, scenic, and heritage assets. Reservations are required for certain activities.
Practical information and ticketing are available for activities, walks, and guided tours scheduled in Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert on Saturday, October 10, as well as for visits to the Chapelle d’Issensac and the Church of Saint-Martin-de-Londres on Sunday, October 11.
