Since October 5, 2026, the City of Juvignac, a signatory of the "Caring City for Alzheimer's" charter since May 2026, is offering monthly drop-in sessions dedicated to supporting individuals with Alzheimer's disease and their loved ones. These sessions, organized in partnership with France Alzheimer Hérault, take place at the Espace Claude Lévi-Strauss on the first Monday of each month, from 9 AM to 12 PM.
This initiative materializes the city's social and community-based policy and strengthens its commitment to families impacted by Alzheimer's and related diseases, a major public health and social support issue. In France, over 1.4 million families are affected by Alzheimer's disease, with approximately 20,000 in Hérault.
France Alzheimer Hérault, a non-profit association recognized for its public utility and a member of the Union of France Alzheimer Associations, has been working for many years to provide information, raise awareness, support carers, facilitate access to rights, and maintain social connections for people with the illness and their relatives. The association has over 1,000 members, 68 volunteers, and 31 professionals.
The drop-in sessions, which began in October 2026, are by appointment only. For any information or to schedule an appointment, please contact France Alzheimer Hérault directly at 04 67 06 56 10.
The schedule for upcoming sessions extends until the end of 2027, including dates such as November 2, 2026, December 7, 2026, January 5, 2027, and so on, on the first Monday of each month.
