The Community of Communes of Minervois au Caroux has approved the renewal of its Global Territorial Convention (CTG) with the CAF of Hérault, involving 36 municipalities in an expanded social policy until 2031.

The Community of Communes of Minervois au Caroux convened on October 8 to address sixteen agenda items. Among the key decisions, elected officials voted to renew the Global Territorial Convention (CTG), a foundational agreement outlining the territory's social policy until 2031.
This contract strengthens the collaboration between the CAF of Hérault, the Community of Communes, and the territory's 36 municipalities. The new convention, covering the period from 2027 to 2031, will succeed the current one expiring on December 31, 2026. Its aim is to enhance the effectiveness and coordination of actions for residents.
The priorities set for this new convention include five areas of work: early childhood, childhood and youth, parenting, social life animation, and access to rights. The latter, a new focus in this convention, gains particular importance, especially with the development of four France Services points coordinated by the Community of Communes.
The convention will be co-signed by all 36 municipalities in the territory, signifying broader involvement compared to the previous agreement. A shared diagnosis, based on data from Insee, Caf, and MSA, informed the definition of these priorities. The figures indicate an aging population (34.8% over 65) and a median income below the national average.
The assessment of the current convention is considered solid, with stable attendance rates in nurseries and the opening of new leisure centers. The upcoming CTG will support, among other services, three nurseries, a mobile parent-child reception center, a mobile early childhood relay, three leisure centers, two social life spaces, and the France Services points, thereby reinforcing a close-knit social policy.
