The town of Le Vigan transforms today into the capital of Cévennes gastronomy for a grand gourmet gathering.

The Coopérative Origine Cévennes highlights the Sweet Onion of Cévennes AOP and the Reinette du Vigan Apple with an exclusive sale. Visitors can stroll among 120 exhibitors, local producers, breeders, and artisans, discovering the authentic flavors and know-how of the region.
The 'Fabriqué en Cévennes' Exhibition will showcase regional talents. Culinary demonstrations and tastings will be offered throughout the day by chefs and artisans from 'Militant du Goût du Gard' using their mobile kitchen. Excellence products from Occitanie Sud de France will also be available for discovery and tasting.
A unique gourmet break will feature an authentic 'cargolade' (snails) with sweet Cévennes onion, delving into the secrets of the AOP. A fun workshop on the Territorial Food Project is also planned to debunk common misconceptions about food.
A festive atmosphere will be provided by roaming entertainment, including the fanfare La Banda ‘Jeff et Gradisca throughout the town center. The official Onion mascot will also be present for souvenir photos.
Several events are scheduled: at 11:00 AM, a colorful parade of brotherhoods and a concert by the group 'Les Déhanchés au Jardin des Orantes', as well as a jazzy performance on the Town Hall square with Dano Haider & Sam Hussong. Apple grafting and old rose cutting workshops will take place at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM in the Jardin des Orantes. Another jazzy performance is scheduled for 2:00 PM on the Town Hall square.
For dining, the 'Foire' Tables and producer halls at the Market Square will offer grills, soups, and sweet onion fritters. A food truck and takeaway options will be available at the Jardin des Orantes, while local restaurants in Le Vigan will offer special 'fair' menus.
Animations, workshops, and the children's area are free. Free parking and shuttle services are available at the Tessan roundabout, the Well factory outlet, and the Tony Llinares stadium. Accessible parking is at the Cour de l’école Jean Carriere. Info & game points will be managed by students from the vocational section of the André Chamson high school.
