Last week, environmental agents from the Communauté de communes - Sud Hérault organized, with schoolchildren, an eco-citizen collection on the banks of the Orb, gathering 100 kg of waste.

In a short time, the students collected 100kg of waste. Carole and Tristan then led an operation to characterize the waste abandoned this summer, in order to precisely analyze its composition and measure its proportions. Each bag was emptied, and the waste was sorted into categories (plastic packaging, paper, glass, textiles, aluminum, etc.).
Without this intervention, this waste could have remained in nature and caused various pollutions. Thanks to the involvement of our agents, the students were able to take concrete action for the environment and better understand the challenges related to waste management (sorting, recycling, recovery).
