From January 1, 2027, pool managers will be required to implement an enhanced sampling and analysis program for Type A and B pools, in accordance with new regulations.

A new regulatory framework will come into effect on January 1, 2027, modifying the requirements for swimming pool water surveillance. Decree No. 2026 118 of February 20, 2026, focused on simplifying local public action, assigns to pool managers (PRPs) the implementation of a sampling and analysis program for Type A and B pools.
The precise procedures for these samplings and analyses are detailed in the order of June 23, 2026 concerning swimming pool water surveillance. This new order will replace the order of May 26, 2021, and will take effect on the same date, January 1, 2027.
For certain parameters, these operations must be carried out by an accredited laboratory, mandated by the PRPs, thereby ensuring the reliability and rigor of health monitoring.
