The City of Lodève has launched a call for expressions of interest (AMI) for the creation and operation of a facility dedicated to the practice of padel on an area of 1,000 m² of its public domain.

The objective is to enhance the municipal sports offerings and promote new accessible sports for the public. The project will be led by an economic operator responsible for its design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance, under an administrative emphyteutic lease (BEA) with a provisional duration of 18 to 40 years.
Candidates must propose the creation of padel courts, the necessary equipment for their operation, landscaping, networks and connections, as well as reception areas and adequate furniture. Additional facilities such as covered courts, changing rooms, a club-house, or convivial spaces are also welcome.
The City will pay particular attention to projects that align with its local sports policy, promote access for the greatest number, foster links with sports associations, clubs, and schools, and demonstrate architectural and landscape quality, good urban integration, and nuisance control.
Application procedures, detailing site characteristics, occupation and operation conditions, selection criteria, and required documents, are outlined in the complete AMI file. Proposals must include a candidate presentation, a detailed project description, a provisional timeline, financing plan, and a five-year projected operating account.
The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is Saturday, November 7, 2026. Proposals should be sent electronically to mairie@lodeve.com or by post to Mairie de Lodève, 7 place de l’Hôtel de Ville, 34700 Lodève, marked "Appel à manifestation d’intérêt concurrente Padel – NE PAS OUVRIR – Monsieur le Maire".
Site visits can be arranged by appointment. For further information, candidates can contact Julien MAGAND, Land Management Officer, at jmagand@lodevoisetlarzac.fr or by phone at 06 23 81 83 41.
