The City of Lunel and the local branch of the League Against Cancer officially launched October Rose 2026 on Friday, October 2. This campaign aims to raise awareness about screening and the fight against breast cancer.
To mark the beginning of this edition, a solidarity run and walk was held in the heart of the city. This event emphasized prevention, physical activity, and solidarity. Participants also had the opportunity to try the smoothie bike, an installation in partnership with Elior, which allows for the preparation of drinks by pedaling.
This launch day kicks off a mobilization that will extend throughout the month of October in Lunel. Various events, organized by associations, partners, and local stakeholders, are planned to address prevention, screening, and support.
October Rose highlights the crucial importance of breast cancer screening, a key step for early detection of the disease and increasing chances of recovery.
The City of Lunel and the League Against Cancer encourage residents to participate in the various proposed actions, thereby contributing to this collective mobilization for health and prevention.
