The municipality of Mèze is renewing its participation in the national challenge « Mon Bonnet Rose ». This solidarity initiative aims to create chemo caps that will be freely distributed to women fighting breast cancer and facing financial difficulties.
To contribute to this operation, a T-shirt collection is organized at the reception of the town hall and the CCAS. Accepted clothing must be soft, stretchy cotton jersey, adult size, and in good condition.
These textiles will then be transformed into caps in Mèze, thanks to the mobilization of volunteers from local associations and residents of the Ehpad.
Sewing workshops are also open to all volunteers every Tuesday afternoon, from 2 PM to 5 PM, at the Salle du Campotel. Participants are invited to bring their own sewing machine to take part in this solidarity action.
« Through this collective mobilization, the City of Mèze and the CCAS are once again joining forces with Pink October and invite the residents of Mèze to contribute concretely to an initiative focused on solidarity, sharing, and mutual aid », specifies Patricia Leroy, municipal councilor and liaison with the Hérault Committee of the League Against Cancer.
