For the first time, residents of Montferrier-sur-Lez can access social support sessions directly within their community. This new service, named RIFI (Relais Information Familles Itinérant - Traveling Family Information Hub), is provided by the CCAS in partnership with Familles Rurales Hérault-Gard-Lozère and is exclusively for residents of Montferrier.
Two sessions are held each month on Tuesday mornings, from 9 AM to 12 PM, in a room at Le Devézou. These appointments require prior contact.
This initiative aims to provide concrete assistance for various procedures: difficulties with the CAF (Family Allowance Fund), pension, supplementary health insurance, disability, or social housing applications, online procedures that are causing problems, or advice for budget difficulties and debt situations.
A social support professional will meet with individuals to inform them about their rights, help them complete forms, carry out certain procedures, or assist them in resolving complex situations. Support can also cover personal microcredit, consumer disputes, digital procedures, or prevention of over-indebtedness.
Each situation is handled individually and in strict confidentiality. A dedicated contact person will hold the sessions in Montferrier to ensure regular, local follow-up when needed. The service is free for users, funded by the CCAS of Montferrier-sur-Lez.
For any information or appointment requests, please contact the service at 04 67 79 35 93, Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM, or by email at rifi.herault@famillesrurales.org. The goal is to inform, guide, and support residents.
The first RIFI social support session took place on Tuesday, October 13th.
