In autumn, gardening tasks often generate significant amounts of clippings, trimmings, and dead leaves. Rather than considering them waste, SICTOM Pézenas-Agde offers solutions to give them a second life.
Awareness sessions are being held directly at the green waste areas of several recycling centers. The goal is to provide users with practical advice to reduce their waste disposal at the center and valorize their plant materials directly in their gardens.
SICTOM's teams will share their tips on techniques such as mulching, composting, and shredding, demonstrating how these organic materials can become valuable resources for the garden.
The events are scheduled as follows: on Monday, October 5th at the Corneilhan recycling center, Tuesday, October 6th at the Saint-Thibéry recycling center, and Thursday, October 8th at the Pézenas recycling center. Sessions will run from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM.
These meetings are an invitation to discuss gardening practices and discover simple solutions for less waste and better plant material valorization, a small gesture for gardeners and a great resource for their gardens.
