The Municipality of Portiragnes is continuing its requalification program for Portiragnes-Plage with the commencement of development work on Avenue des Mûriers sud, starting on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Two years ago, the Municipality of Portiragnes initiated a requalification program for Portiragnes-Plage, involving the development of the Boulevard de la Tour du Guet and the Boulevard des Dunes. Today, this comprehensive project continues with the development of Avenue des Mûriers sud, following on from the work already completed.
This new phase notably includes the continuation of a soft mobility path and the greening of the avenue, to ensure continuity with the already requalified spaces. As part of this overall program, the Municipality of Portiragnes had received European aid of €147,504 from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Prior to the construction, a meeting with local residents allowed for the presentation of the project and the finalization of the developments in consultation with them, attended by Caroline Levannier, Deputy Mayor for Works and Quality of Life, and Cédric Guagnini, Director General of Services.
The construction will take place in two phases: the first, focused on water and sanitation, will begin on October 12 and conclude in early December 2026. The second phase, dedicated to the avenue's requalification, will run from December 2026 to March 2027.
This work may cause disruptions to traffic and access. The Municipality thanks residents and users for their understanding during this new phase.
