Facing multiple sclerosis, it is essential not to be alone. The association SEP 34, based in Montpellier, has opened a relay point in Sauvian. This new local branch is intended for people affected by multiple sclerosis, as well as their caregivers.
For its first meeting on September 10th, the Passerelle hall welcomed 15 people. The aim was to exchange and share experiences and difficulties in a warm and supportive atmosphere.
As the illness also affects loved ones and caregivers, their voices and needs are fully accommodated during these meetings.
The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 1st, from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, at the Salle de la Passerelle in Sauvian. These monthly meetings, held on the first Thursday of each month, offer an opportunity to share a moment over coffee and pastries, and most importantly, to be heard.
Affected individuals, their loved ones, and caregivers are welcome. The branch is managed by Véronique Chêne (06 18 03 81 78). In Sauvian, proximity, listening, and solidarity truly take on their full meaning.
