From October 9 to 11, Sète agglopôle méditerranée participated in the Montmartre Grape Harvest Festival in Paris, an opportunity to promote the "Thau en Méditerranée" wine tourism destination. The event, held at the foot of the Sacré-Cœur, allowed numerous visitors to discover the region's viticultural and gastronomic diversity.
The "Parcours du goût" (Taste Trail) highlighted several local appellations and geographical indications, including AOP Languedoc, Picpoul, Muscat de Mireval, Muscat de Frontignan, IGP Côtes de Thau, and Pays d’Oc. A selection of white, rosé, and red wines was offered, complemented by signature cocktails. A new feature this year was the wine-on-tap service, adding an original touch to the tastings.
The presence of an oyster farmer underscored the emblematic pairing between local wines and shellfish from the Thau Basin, a gastronomic signature of the destination. The "Voyage au cœur des cépages" (Journey to the Heart of Grape Varieties) animation also showcased six emblematic grape varieties: Muscat à Petits Grains, Piquepoul, Syrah, Chardonnay, Cinsault, and Marselan, illustrating the diversity of vines and landscapes in the Archipelago of Thau.
Loïc Linares, president of Sète agglopôle méditerranée, Jean-Christophe Pézerat, vice-president in charge of viticulture, and Yves Michel, mayor of Marseillan, took part in the event. It provided local producers and professionals with a valuable platform to showcase their expertise beyond regional borders.
