The beautification phase of the Market Square in Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone, which began a few days ago with the installation of benches, continued this Thursday morning with the planting of a remarkable olive tree. This tree, transported and put in place using a crane truck, measures 5 meters in height and weighs approximately 3 tons.
Originating from Calabria in southern Italy, this exceptional olive tree now brings greenery and shade to the heart of this communal meeting space. It is considered a symbol of longevity and an emblem of the Mediterranean.
The municipality hopes this tree will accompany the residents of Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone for many years to come, contributing to the square's appeal.
