From October 5 to 18, 2026, Grand-Figeac is participating in the Mental Health Information Weeks (SISM) with a program focused on the benefits of arts for mental well-being.

The Mental Health Information Weeks (SISM), held annually across France, aim to raise public awareness, foster dialogue about mental health, and highlight available local resources. For this 37th edition, themed « For our mental health, let's open ourselves to the arts », the Local Health Contract (CLS) of Grand-Figeac offers a program of activities and exchanges open to everyone.
The events will explore mental health from an original perspective, emphasizing the benefits of artistic practice, creativity, and culture on well-being. A specific initiative will take place at the Champollion high school, where the Youth Space of Grand-Figeac and the House for Adolescents and Youth of Lot will host a stand focused on young people's mental health and well-being.
This program complements those offered by the Institut Camille Miret and other Local Health Contracts in the Lot department.
Additionally, Grand-Figeac organized an eco-driving awareness event using a simulator on September 22 in Figeac. This operation, funded with support from ADEME Occitanie, allowed about fifty people to practice economical and responsible driving, highlighting the importance of Energy Transition in the territory where travel accounts for a significant portion of energy expenses.
