From October 1st to 31st, La BIG invites the public to enjoy a varied cultural program. The exhibition « Fantasmes » by Mathilde Gérardeaux will showcase her poetic paintings with diverse techniques.
A cycle of participatory conferences-workshops, « Our Stories in Multiple Voices – Memory, Family, and Transmission: From the Intimate to the Collective », proposed by Amandine Delord, will explore transmission.
Live readings on the theme « Alors on danse ! » (So Let's Dance!), offered by the Lot Departmental Library, will engage the general public and residents of nursing homes.
As part of the Territorial Cultural Project « From Water Here to Water There », the exhibition « Sanctuaire » by Solmiris will be itinerant, taking the public to discover the various communes.
The program also includes an ecological thriller, « Jusqu’à la dernière goutte » (Until the Last Drop) by Cie Les Voix du Caméléon, and a theatrical performance « Les Eaux Vives » (Living Waters) by Cie Les Os Vifs / Lily Yung.
The First Pages Operation continues with « Mission Océan », an exhibition centered around the album « Encore un plouf! » (One More Splash!) by Isabelle Ricq, aimed at young children, and also features a fishing game.
The usual fun writing sessions with Pascale Paire, the art library's open hours, as well as readings and storytelling at residents' homes, are also on the schedule.
Finally, the Off-site events and those at the Library Network in Saint Germain du Bel Air, Concorès, Peyrilles, and Gourdon complete the offerings.
