Exceptional wild boar regulation operations are authorized in the Lot region from October 9 to November 8, 2026, to protect local agricultural crops from damage.

Due to significant damage caused by wild boars to local agricultural crops, the Prefecture of Lot has ordered exceptional regulation operations. These interventions will take place from Friday, October 9, to Sunday, November 8, 2026, inclusive.
The areas concerned by these operations include the commune of Prayssac, particularly the sectors of Pech-Gris and Pech Chagut, as well as adjacent areas of Puy-l'Évêque. These interventions are under the direct supervision of Mr. Éric SANTAL, Lieutenant de Louveterie.
During this period, drives, stalking, ambushes, and night shooting may occur. The Direction Départementale des Territoires du Lot urges walkers, residents, and forest users to exercise vigilance when moving near wooded and agricultural areas.
