This label from the French Hiking Federation identifies routes suitable for wheelchairs, strollers, and children's scooters. Around Aumont, Fournels, Marvejols, and Prinsuéjols, a team tested the paths with a wheelchair.
This partnership project is part of the Aubrac’cessible working group within the Pôle de Pleine Nature, which focuses on improving accessibility to outdoor activities for people with disabilities, in collaboration with tourism and medico-social stakeholders in the region.
These route recognitions mark the beginning of an ambitious initiative by the CDRP48, which plans to replicate this method in other areas of the department. A final validation will be carried out by individuals with disabilities before the publication and promotion of these new Balades à roulettes®.
