The town of Argelès-sur-Mer is transforming into a hub of illusion with its Magic Festival, running from Tuesday, October 27 to Sunday, November 8. This event promises enchanting moments through a series of shows, interactive workshops, and various activities for all ages.
Highlights include the Casa de l’Albera offering an immersive experience with the Haunted Museum Visit from Tuesday, October 27 to Saturday, October 31 at 4:00 PM. This guided tour, not recommended for children under 6, will reveal the sinister stories surrounding some of the museum's collection items. Additionally, from Tuesday, October 27 to Saturday, October 31, between 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, a free treasure hunt invites participants to help the museum team find ghosts haunting the premises as Halloween approaches.
On Saturday, October 31, the Cinéma Jaurès will host Professor Hery Putter for an accelerated magic class at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM (ticket price: €2). The evening of Friday, November 6 will feature an exceptional Magic Gala at the Espace Jean-Carrère at 8:00 PM (ticket price: €10), presented by Stephane Pasche and featuring artists such as Jean-Philippe Loupi, Jimmy Delp, Patrice Kurt, and Kevin Mystère.
The town center streets will come alive with close-up magic by Christophe Hery on Saturday, November 7 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. On the same day, at 8:30 PM, the Espace Jean-Carrère will host Mathieu Stepson, winner of the 19th season of La France a un Incroyable Talent, for a show blending illusion, fiction, and mentalism (ticket price: €15).
The festival continues on Sunday, November 8 with magic at the port market from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, also featuring Christophe Hery. Finally, the Espace Jean-Carrère will conclude the event at 4:00 PM with a performance by Les French Twins, pioneers of digital magic 3.0 (ticket price: €15).
