For its third edition, the Chercheurs d’Art festival takes over the Royal Castle of Collioure from October 10 to 17, 2026. Organized by the Communauté de communes Albères-Côte Vermeille-Illibéris, this free event invites children and families to discover culture in a fun and immersive way.
The festival aims to awaken the senses and open the imagination by exploring the universes of artists such as Matisse, Klimt, Charlot, Pagnol, Andy Warhol, and Roy Lichtenstein. Five immersive spaces hidden within the castle halls will allow the youngest visitors to touch, frolic, and explore at their own pace.
The program includes creative workshops, musical storytelling, concerts, exhibitions, and shows, all designed for ages 0-6. La Fabrique à contes will hold a week-long residency in the castle chapel, offering workshops focused on earth and its facets. The goal is to share joyful and creative moments as a family, making culture accessible and unifying.
Reservations for workshops and shows, although free, are limited and made through the online ticketing system. The festival is an initiative of the CC ACVI, in partnership with the Mairie de Collioure, the Département 66, the CAF des Pyrénées-Orientales, the MSA Grand Sud, the Recyclerie, the DRAC, and the Office de tourisme Pyrénées-Méditerranée.
