The Mayor of Estagel, Roger Ferrer, accompanied by representatives from SYDEEL66, the CAF of the Pyrénées-Orientales, and Enedis, inaugurated a mural on Thursday, October 29, on the "MARBIGO" electrical transformer station.

In this participatory artistic project, young people from the Point Jeunes of Estagel, guided by local artist Margot Briu from "Arts Plastiques 66", transformed the electrical equipment into a piece of urban art through painting and graffiti workshops.
SYDEEL66, alongside Enedis, financially supports this initiative as part of its program to beautify electrical transformer stations, aiming to improve their integration into the urban landscape and enhance residents' living environment.
“

"This beautiful participatory initiative allows young people to get involved in local life while raising their awareness of the importance of their living environment."
