From October 5 to 9, 2026, the Thuir Hospital Center resonated with music thanks to the artistic residency of Tatiana Paris, as part of the « Thalle – Sensitive Encounters » project.

Supported in partnership with the association Jazzèbre, this project aims to bring music into healthcare settings, prioritizing exchange and sharing over the traditional concert format. Throughout the week, Tatiana Paris visited various care units, the hospital nursery, the cafeteria, as well as Thuir, Perpignan, Saint Laurent de Cerdans, Cabestany, and Céret. These interventions were adapted to the specificities of each location and audience.
Improvised music, listening sessions, direct exchanges with the artist, and sound discoveries offered a unique artistic experience. These moments stimulated expression, curiosity, and helped build connections among patients, residents, children, and healthcare professionals.
The « Thalle » project aims to establish a lasting artistic presence within institutions, making music a vehicle for connection and openness for diverse audiences. This initiative aligns with the Thuir Hospital Center's commitment to promoting access to culture for all and recognizing the role of artistic expression in healthcare.
This residency was made possible through the financial support of the Occitanie Regional Health Agency (ARS) and the Occitanie Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC), as part of the « Culture at the Hospital » call for projects. The Thuir Hospital Center warmly thanks Tatiana Paris, the association Jazzèbre, its partners, and all the teams involved for making these encounters a success.
