The Einstein multimodal exchange hub, inaugurated on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 in Perpignan, aims to streamline travel to the Tecnosud and Agrosud business areas and promote alternatives to cars.

Led by Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, this new facility, located in the south of the city, addresses circulation and parking challenges in these activity zones. It offers complementary solutions to individual car use for employees, students, and users.
The Einstein hub, southern terminus of line PULSEO A and served by line 2 of the Sankéo network, connects to the university campus, Perpignan city center, Villeneuve-de-la-Raho, and the Mas Balande area. The site also promotes carpooling with dedicated spaces.
The infrastructure includes 32 parking spaces, one reserved for people with reduced mobility, as well as a 6-space bicycle shelter, encouraging cycling for commutes to business areas and public transport. Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole now has 17 exchange hubs in its territory.
This development is part of a broader initiative by Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole to support the transformation of the Tecnosud and Agrosud areas. The Mobility Plan includes strengthening public transport services, developing cycling infrastructure, securing bicycle parking, and raising awareness about alternative mobility.
The inauguration, attended by several mobility stakeholders including Jean-Charles Moriconi, PMM Vice-President for Mobility, and Bruno Berthet, Secretary General of the Pyrénées-Orientales prefecture, marks a key step in the development of sustainable mobility in Perpignan.
