The Place Jean Jaurès in Montech became a "Road Safety Village" on Wednesday, October 21st, offering workshops and a luminous bicycle ride to raise awareness about safe circulation reflexes during winter.

Organized by Prévention Routière Occitanie, in partnership with the Prefect of Tarn et Garonne, the Communauté de communes Grand Sud 82, EducaVélo, and the town of Montech, the event aimed to remind participants of best practices for cycling, driving, or using scooters during the winter period.
About twenty participants joined the 7 km Luminous Ride in the late afternoon. Cyclists, equipped with lights and some with decorated bicycles, rode through the town's streets in a friendly atmosphere.
Several municipal representatives were present, including Mr. the Mayor and his first deputy, Mr. Galaup, as well as Claire Gouny, Philippe Jeandot, and Galina Fournier, who participated in the bike ride.
The organization was praised, with a welcoming reception from Christel, Regional Director of Road Safety, Lucie, Occitanie Mission Manager, and Laurénie, Mobility Manager at CC Grand Sud 82.
