Near the Parc de Bonnecombe, the new sports facilities in Lapeyrouse were inaugurated in the presence of elected officials, construction companies, and numerous dignitaries. This complex, designed to meet the needs of schools and local sports associations, allows for a variety of disciplines such as handball, volleyball, basketball, climbing, archery, dance, and combat sports.
The complex includes a main hall of 1,300 m² for team sports, featuring a climbing wall, an archery area, and spectator seating. A second space of 240 m², dedicated to dance and combat sports, is equipped with a modular ring and punching bags. The facility is completed by twelve changing rooms, storage areas, and offices.
Designed with a strong environmental focus, the main gymnasium features a roof structure made of local wood and a heating system powered by nearby wood resources. Intelligent LED lighting, double-flow ventilation, and radiant panels aim to balance energy efficiency with user comfort.
