With the aim of building the future of Graulhet with its residents, the municipality has established eight neighborhood committees. This initiative seeks to give more voice to the people of Graulhet, bring elected officials closer to the population, and make consultation a true driver of municipal action.
Local democracy, which should not be limited to electoral events, is encouraged to thrive daily. These committees, spread across the entire commune from the town center to the hamlets, are designed as spaces for dialogue. They will bring together residents, local stakeholders, and elected officials to address ground-level concerns, build solutions together, and advance projects important to the city.
In each sector, two designated elected officials will serve as primary contacts for residents. Their role will be to listen, exchange, support initiatives, and ensure direct communication with the municipality. Topics covered will include quality of life, development projects, mobility, public safety, the environment, and citizen initiatives.
At least two meetings will be held annually in each sector, with minutes transmitted to the municipal council. The goal is to give residents' voices a concrete place in municipal life, reinforcing the conviction that Graulhet must be built with its inhabitants.
To find out your sector, identify the designated elected officials, or learn about the committees' functioning, a dedicated page is available online. Participation details and dates for upcoming meetings will be announced there soon.
