Initiated by the Social Welfare Center (CCAS) of the Saint-Girons town hall and the Multidisciplinary Health Center, with the support of several partners, this day took place on Thursday, October 22nd. It brought together about forty stakeholders – institutional, professional, and associative – who presented their services to the public.
Speakers highlighted the available services and activities, particularly those aimed at patients with Alzheimer's disease and related conditions, as well as their caregivers. The event was attended by the mayor of Saint-Girons, Jean-Noël Vigneau, and deputy mayors Sylviane Lavedrine-Goguillot and Évelyne Rolain-Puigcerver.
Two conferences were on the agenda: "Environmental health: the prescription of nature," led by the Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees, and "Home care professions: all about Cesu for healthy aging in Couserans," presented by the Federation of Employers of Private Individuals (FEPEM). A presentation by the CHAC (Ariège-Couserans Hospital Center) on its evolution, projects, and new care offerings also took place.
