With the November 11th date nearing, the commune of Baraqueville is preparing to honor the memory of soldiers who died for France. A commemorative ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 AM in Baraqueville, inviting the public to gather for a moment of remembrance.
Alongside this official ceremony, the war memorials in the villages are not being overlooked. The one in Carcenac-Peyralès, commemorating the sacrifice of combatants, is currently being renovated. Cleaning and painting work is underway to restore its dignity and splendor.
The municipality has entrusted this task to the local company Peintures et Décos du Ségala. The monument will also be decorated with flags on Armistice Day, a concrete step to maintain communal heritage and preserve these symbolic sites.
