The initiative, led by Chloé Denizard, an activities coordinator at La Miséricorde, aims to bring generations closer and enable them to converse. This project seeks to explore youth across different eras by giving a voice to often underheard groups.
The project will unfold over three meetings. The first, at the Youth Quarter, will be a goûter (snack) to break the ice. The second, at La Miséricorde, focused on sharing and playing, will pair participants in duos to foster camaraderie.
The third meeting, also at La Miséricorde, will include Radio Saint-Affrique to record cross-interviews. The goal is for young people and seniors to discuss universal themes like work, school, leisure, and family relationships, highlighting both their differences and, more importantly, their commonalities.
These interviews will later be broadcast on Radio Saint-Affrique. Six residents from La Miséricorde, aged 88 to 100, will participate, aiming to engage their memory, stimulate their minds, and pass on their experiences.
Stéphane Mallavan, head of the QJ, emphasizes the project's value for young people, demonstrating that despite different eras, experiences, expectations, and emotions can be the same.
