Since the beginning of the school year, the Georges-Rouquier and Jeanne-d’Arc middle schools have implemented an innovative initiative. In collaboration with US Montbazens-Rignac, this program aims to integrate football practice into the schedules of volunteer students, while ensuring the continuity of their academic journey.
A partnership agreement has been officially signed between the two educational institutions and the sports club. This accord outlines the terms of their collaboration, where the schools manage timetable adjustments and academic monitoring, while the club oversees coaching and training organization.
The schools retain responsibility for tracking student attendance, behavior, and academic results. This inaugural year sees 78 students, from 6th to 3rd grade, benefiting from this innovative program.
Training sessions cover the technical, tactical, physical preparation, and teamwork aspects specific to football. Beyond athletic skills, the program seeks to foster essential values such as punctuality, rigor, and team spirit, beneficial for both schooling and the personal development of young people.
For US Montbazens-Rignac, "Collège-Foot" represents an opportunity to support the progress of young talents and strengthen the link between sports training and academic pathways.
