The "Green Prescriptions" initiative, aimed at pregnant women and parents of children under 2 years old, sought to inform and support them regarding their exposure to endocrine disruptors, particularly through a more adapted diet. The goal was to establish favorable and lasting behaviors for the child's health and development.
Seventeen mothers and households from the area committed to this project, participating in three local workshops and receiving vouchers. These sessions served as valuable opportunities for information sharing, exchanges between professionals and beneficiaries, and for future and new mothers to share their experiences.
Topics covered in environmental health addressed questions about endocrine disruptors: what they are, how to identify them in food and a child's environment, and how to reduce exposure. Organic Agriculture, its labels, and consumer guarantees were also discussed.
This experimental project, led by the Communauté de Communes as part of the Local Health Contract, benefited from the mobilization of numerous partners. These included the CPTS Nord Aveyron for coordinating health professionals, local health professionals (midwife, dietitian), the Departmental PMI Service, the Parc naturel régional de l’Aubrac for the Territorial Food Program, and the Association for the Promotion of Organic Agriculture in Aveyron (APABA) for co-facilitating the workshops. Partner producers also played a key role by enabling beneficiaries to make their purchases.
The project received financial support from the CPTS du Nord-Aveyron, the CPAM de l’Aveyron, the Parc Naturel Régional de l’Aubrac, the MSA, and the CAF.
