Nearly 220 retirees participated in a dancing tea party in Saint-Affrique, organized by the CCAS as part of Blue Week, with assistance from high school students.

Nearly 220 retirees gathered on Thursday afternoon at the party hall for a dancing tea party organized by the CCAS as part of Blue Week. Simone Gavalda, municipal councilor for seniors, welcomed the guests.
Students and teachers from the SAPAT program at Vaxergues high school, loyal partners for 14 years, greatly contributed to the organization. They superbly decorated the hall, welcomed attendees, and served drinks and snacks.
The high school students opened the dance with a choreography of their own creation to a hit song by the group Trois cafés gourmands, before making way for Frédéric Vernhet and his dancers.
Paso doble, waltz, and cha-cha-cha followed each other, making the dance floor vibrate to the great delight of the enthusiasts.
It was a moment of joy and intergenerational sharing, perfectly orchestrated by the students of Vaxergues and the CCAS team.
The next event in the Blue Week program is a free cinema screening on Thursday, October 15th at 2:30 PM at the party hall, featuring the French comedy « Un village presque parfait ». Tickets must be collected in advance at the CCAS.
