After several years of absence, the Chestnut Festival is making a grand return to Bessèges. The event, designed to be shared with family or friends, will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 9 AM to 5 PM, in the town center.
The program for this gourmet and festive day includes about thirty stalls featuring products from producers, artisans, and associations, as well as wooden games. Musical entertainment by Peña La Nersoise will liven up the morning from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Place de la Révolution will be dedicated to children with Loulou Jump (inflatable games), Barbeautine, and other activities. Meanwhile, the photo club will organize a flea market on Place de la Cèze.
A highlight of the day will be the traditional Brasiée (roasted chestnuts), scheduled for 3 PM in front of the former Casino. The town hall will offer 20 kg of chestnuts to attendees.
Food and various entertainment activities are planned throughout the day to enhance this celebration of local produce.
