The piezometric monitoring campaign for the Vidourle lower valley dike development and security project has concluded after two years of measurements.

A piezometric monitoring campaign, conducted between 2024 and 2026, has concluded in the lower Vidourle valley. It involved the communes of Lunel, Marsillargues, Saint Laurent d’Aigouze, Gallargues le Montueux, and Aimargues.
Approximately ten piezometers were installed to enhance knowledge of the superficial water table. The collected data will be used to refine the design of retention basins and compensatory measures planned for the right and left bank projects.
Following two years of monitoring, the piezometers were removed according to standards.
This project, with an estimated cost of €70,000 HT, received funding of 40% from the Occitanie region and the departments of Gard and Hérault.
