In the Gard department, drought-related water restrictions were lifted on October 9, 2026, following a significant improvement in the hydrological situation.

Rainfall recorded in recent days has led to an improvement in the hydrological situation in the Gard department. Watercourses now show flows above seasonal vigilance thresholds, and groundwater levels have largely returned to average levels.
In light of this favorable development, the Prefect of Gard issued an order on October 9, 2026, repealing the temporary restrictions on water usage established by the prefectural order of August 21, 2026. Drought-related restrictions are therefore no longer in effect in the department.
This improvement is notably attributed to the rains in late September and early October, the announced decrease in temperatures, and reduced water demand.
Even though the situation is improving, preserving water resources remains essential. The City of Manduel encourages everyone to maintain responsible practices and continue using water wisely.
