During its October 1st council meeting, the Communauté de Communes Coteaux Arrats Gimone (3CAG) approved significant decisions for the region, including a new childcare center and the Marsan urban development plan.

The community council of the Communauté de Communes Coteaux Arrats Gimone (3CAG), meeting on October 1st in Saint-Martin-Gimois, made several decisions aimed at supporting families, housing, and territorial development. Key measures include the creation of an after-school care center (ALAE) in Escornebœuf, the approval of the Local Urban Plan (PLU) for Marsan, and the launch of a new housing renovation support program scheduled for early 2027.
To ensure equitable access to services across its territory, the 3CAG has established this ALAE in Escornebœuf, replacing the existing daycare. This initiative aims to enhance childcare offerings for children and support families daily, aligning with the strategy of progressive service harmonization at the inter-municipal level.
The approval of Marsan's PLU marks a significant step in planning the commune's future development, setting the framework for its territorial growth. The Community of Communes also continues its commitment to housing improvement with the third phase of the Territorial Pact, set to launch on January 1, 2027. This program will provide support to owner-occupiers and landlords for their renovation projects, particularly in assisting with grant applications.
Renovations covered by this new phase include adapting homes for individuals with disabilities or loss of autonomy, energy efficiency upgrades (insulation, heating systems), and bringing properties up to standard for decent living conditions. This initiative follows a study conducted by the 3CAG in 2024 and 2025 to better understand residents' housing needs and challenges.
The meeting also addressed essential administrative and budgetary matters for the community's operations. Two budget modifications were approved, affecting the 3CAG's main budget and the BATAC annex budget. Furthermore, the Inter-municipal Accessibility Commission (CIA) was established with its composition defined. Its mission will include monitoring accessibility issues and improvements in public access establishments (ERP) within the territory.
These decisions concerning children, housing, urban planning, and accessibility reflect the 3CAG's commitment to meeting residents' needs and supporting communes in their projects, aiming to enhance the living environment and promote access to quality services for all.
The next Community Council meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 3rd, with the location to be confirmed.
