From October 1st to 31st, 2026, the Occitanie Region is launching a special operation to promote carpooling, offering increased financial benefits to both drivers and passengers.

The Occitanie Region is providing an exceptional boost to carpooling with its service Le Frontonnais roule avec liO !. Throughout October 2026, significant benefits are available to drivers and passengers to promote this practical, economical, and ecological mobility solution for daily commutes.
For drivers, the compensation per passenger transported will be doubled, regardless of the distance covered within the regional territory. This measure aims to make journeys more profitable while contributing to more sustainable mobility.
Passengers will also benefit from enhanced regional aid. The support will now apply to journeys up to 50 kilometers, an extension from the previous 30 kilometers, making fares more attractive for a larger number of residents.
For example, for a journey of approximately 34 kilometers between Fronton and Toulouse, the driver will receive €5.40 per passenger, while the passenger will pay only €1.90, thanks to the Region's financial support.
This aid is valid for one round trip per day per passenger on eligible journeys within Occitanie. Full information about the service and the scheme's conditions can be found on the liO Occitanie website.
